Hey Roy: You are ruining my sleep!

Since I got your email about tips for winning "Sit and Go" online tournaments … I stay up all night playing. Five tournaments in two nights, I was "in the money" all five times. (2 FIRST PLACE)!

Hi Roy, I've been on your tip list for a couple of months, and I can't begin to tell you how it has helped me. My family and friends are amazed at how good I am for the short amount of time I have been in the game. (I know this sounds canned, but it's true!)

I play NL home games and tourneys and am in the money/points nearly every time I play now. For example, a couple of weeks ago, I played in a tournament at a local bar. There were 7 full tables - I won first. The next week, I played at another local bar. There were 4 full tables - I won first. Now here in Texas, the bars can't have buy-ins because it's illegal, but I won free merchandise, and a free bar tab. In a home game last weekend I was the last standing and won the $100 purse. Admittedly, at first I was skeptical. Signing up for some website/list that a pop-up sent me to that promised all these "secrets" to make me a great poker player; and even more difficult paying out my hard earned money for an e-book from said website.

After bargaining with myself that once I earned enough $$ in my games to cover the price of the book with just the tips you were sending, I bought the e-book. (it only took one money game). Can't wait to start using the insights in your book to my advantage, as the tips have already helped so much... No kidding. Thanks a lot, and keep 'em coming!

Hello Roy,

Your tips newsletter has bought my game along immeasurably, not so long ago I used to put money on a poker website and see now long I could make it last, now I am actually winning money every month. I keep every newsletter in its own folder and if I have any problems with my play I can refer to it and I usually get the answer as to why things went wrong. Lots of the tips you give after its been pointed out seem pretty obvious but it would take years to work out (which obviously you have). I have been receiving your newsletter now for about 6 months and my costly hobby has turned into a profitable one.

Roy,

Just wanted to send a "Thanks" to you for all your tips/secrets for playing poker. Just competed in a decent tournament that consisted of 14 guys (2 tables) where I qualified to make the final table and win the whole thing.

By using your techniques I managed to limit damages on bad beats, and took control of the game by keeping the opponents off guard with mixing my strategies (aggressive - tight).

You've given me some added confidence and knowledge that those I played with clearly didn't have.

In reading your advice to playing I found that I was one step ahead of others at the table and was aware enough on when to stay in for that last "lucky" card and when to muck my cards (pair of Qs) to see another day.

Hey there Roy! It's Adam and Kristen from Ontario, Canada. We just took up poker four months ago, and let me tell you that your tips have been a HUGE help. We love them! One night we read one of your articles about playing aggressivley (raising, and re-raising your draws). When we took your tips and applied them to the game, it was amazing to see the pots we scooped up! Anyways, a couple days later, we won a $3 satallite on PokerStars, into a $215 tournament. On the big day, we really focused on playing tight and aggressively... and boy did it work! We finsihed 8th, busting out with AQ vs. KQ preflop (we had AQ in the hole). We turned $3 into $16,000! Roy- We have to say thanks a lot for all the tips, they have helped so much and you have opened our eyes to things we have never even known about poker! Thanks!

Hi I just wanted to let you know that I retired from practicing law in Pennsylvania about seven year ago. I moved to upper Michigan suttons Bay to be exact and became interest in Texas holdem . After reading your poker tips I started to win various local tournaments here and on July 2, 2005 I won the Michigan Grand Challenge worth $7700 and a beautiful $3000 gold bracelet. Reacently I have won a seat in a World Poker tour satellite tourney to be played here in The Leelanau Sands Casino. I found that your tips are very clear and really work both in tournaments and cash games. I owe in large measure any success I have to your poker tips.

P.S. I also write a column called :View from the River" for full tilt magazine and a local poker column for the Sands Casino.

Hey Roy,

It's Dave Johnson from Myrle Beach, SC. I am a full time online Poker Player. I have been playing online poker for a little over a year now, prior to this I have never played poker before. My first eight months were absolutely brutal, losing more than three thousand dollars.

In early April of this year, desperate and no extra money to fund my poker account, I purchased your e- book. I read it ten times and put the simple easy to understand strategies in play. The first thing I did was switch from limit holdem to no limit. By month's end I was able to cash out for the first time ever, a grand total of thirteen hundred dollars woohooo. In May I made a slight adjustment and began playing SNG's, I earned over a thousand dollars for the month. June was also lucrative cashing out for over two thousand. In July I won my first major online tournament. It was a 10k prize pool, with almost three hundred players, I placed second winning over nineteen hundred and cashing out over thirty-three hundered for the month.

My goal for August is to win one of these 100k to 200k tournaments in order to launch my career as a Professional Poker Player. I have had great athletic coaches my entire life, and I knew if I could find a Great Poker Coach I would be able to reach my potential as a serious card player. None of this would have been possible without your help, support, and mentorship.

Thank you for all that you do.

Dave Johnson

Hey Rounder. What's up boss? Listen, I'm at the point in my game where I am spending many hours reading lots of books and publications just to pick up a few more tidbits of crucial info that will better my play and I just want you to know that your book & newsletters are giving me that.

Yesterday I played a $22 single table satelite to a big tournament. Won it! Then I played for 6 1/2 hours in that tournament and finished 44th out of over 2200 players. I cashed nearly $1400. I can't express how great it is to not have to rely only on hours of experience to improve my game. So, here's a big 'ol thanks from a player that takes his game seriously. Keep 'em coming man.

I'm playing in a sit and go online right now and I'm in second place with 5 players left. Roy you are terrific! Your advice is right on and is easy to follow and understand. I bought your book and it is a great return on my investment. Man I wish I would have found out about ( UPDATE... I'M NOW FIRST WITH 4 PLAYERS LEFT) your book sooner. I can't wait to read your tips on tournament play. With your insight I can't wait to try your strategies and finish in the money. FINAL UPDATE... DOWN TO THREE PLAYERS AND I'M GOING TO BE IN THE MONEY! Good Luck. See you at the Final Table.

WOW! Roy I don't know how much to thank you. I finished reading your book 3 weeks ago. Before I read your book, I was blowing my money, losing 20, sometimes 50 dollars every week to my buddies while they were taking home 100's every time. I was a decent player but I knew something was missing. I needed that edge. Your book gave me the tools I needed to win.

I now know how to read pot odds quickly and easily, get reads on my buddies, and most importantly what hands I should be playing and what hands I should be folding. Before I used to stick around for small hands that would end up killing my stack, now I know exactly when I should be playing and how much I should be betting. I've already played three times in the last few weeks and I've come in 1st twice, and 2nd once. So far I've won 440 bucks! I plan on moving to the online games and using my new skills to reel in the big bucks. Thanks again Roy!

Hey Roy, It's Calvin B. from S. Florida. I've been reading your newsletter for about 5 months now, and all I can say is thanks!!! What a difference! I don't even now how I won any money before. Thanks to all of your tips, I'm making an average of about $300 a week just by playing small tournaments.... not to mention the cash I rake in from my buddies in homegames and making them look like fools as I do it! Thanks again and keep them coming!!!

Roy, I bought your e-book about 5 months ago.The information was great and I immediately became a better player (not hard when you are just starting out). But the value in your e-book is the long term earning that comes from your newsletter. Just like Texas Hold 'em any two cards can win any given hand, but in the long run, the better players get the money. I have learned many valuable tools that have given me that long term advantage. Case in point, I just recently read you "Sit n Go" newsletter and immediately put your recommendations to work. I have won three $20 buy in SNG ($100 each) and have not finished out of the money yet. In a total of six tournaments last week, I have won $440 or made a profit of $320 following your exact methods. Keep up the fantastic work.

Hi Roy

I am a subscriber to your newsletter and a fellow gaming author. I must say that I find your newsletter extremely informative even for a seasoned player like myself. (I always say, "Show me a player who thinks he knows everything and I'll show you a loser.") Your recent article about winning the Sit and Go Tournaments was right on the money. I have been using a strategy that is almost exactly like the one you described and have been having great success winning money in about two out of three events that I play. I've been calling these S & G tournaments "The New Gold Rush." If the players follow your advice they are sure to strike some gold of their own. I just hope that too many players don't listen to your advice, because it will make it harder for me to win if they do.

Keep up the good work.

Roy, I read your newsletter about betting patterns about 15 minutes before I left for a cash game with some friends. I knew how these guys played already but I paid close attention to their betting patterns. All I need to say is that all those guys thought I was extremely lucky that night. I usually leave losing a little or breaking even. This night I left with about $900 more than I came in with. Thanks for the tip and I look forward to more.

Hey Roy!

I've been getting your newsletter for about 10 months now, and it's just about the only thing in my mailbox I read. It's such a great help because it's clear and accurate - not confusing like some poker books. I have two success stories of how I won big bucks just from taking 10 minutes every few days to read your newsletters.

First - A bunch of my friends love playing online poker, but at first I was unsure about it because it seemed like an easy addiction. Once I read your newsletter on SNGs, I knew I could take it. I sat down with my roommate watching and placed in 8 consecutive games, winning a combined $360! I had no idea how easy it became when I got in the habit of being patient like you said.

Then, I went to Turning Stone Casino in New York, and tried your "smooth call" tactic when I picked up pocket aces. The guy to my right had raised to $75 over the initial raise of $18. I knew he had a medium pair, because he had only bet that high with tens, and he showed his boat after that hand. Your advice paid off, and when the flop came out rags, I knew to call his all in. Picked up a cool $220, and gave the dealer a nice $10 tip! I appreciate you taking the time to show us some of your tricks, and hope it keeps on rolling in!

Thanks man!

Dear Roy,

My name is George Flauta Jr. I play alot of poker and in fact use to deal poker out at Casino Arizona. I play alot of poker online too. I purchased your Texas Hold em Secrets in May of 2005. I just want to say the it has helped my game 100%. Since I have purchased your program I have won two live tourneys at the Casino and 5 online multi-table tourneys and have made the final table 13 times since purchasing your secrets. All of this improvement in a 3 month period. I love your newsletters too. I just read the one on "How to Prevent Bad Beats Online" and those words hit home. I have been getting beat up so bad lately and I decided to play a tourney the exact way you say to do. So far it has been working. The tourney is still going on but my biggest thing is being patient. Thank you so much for sharing with us your wonderful secrets and look forward to continuing to receive your very informative newsletters.

P.S. I have attached a picture of me playing in the WSOP this year and sitting right next to Daniel Nagraneau. I am the one sitting on his left with the glasses.

Hey Roy, I want to thank you for the information you're sharing. Especially your tips on SNG tournaments! Since I've started using your suggestions I've averaged between $100 and $300 a night, and that's on only 2 or 3 hours a night! If this keeps up I'll be able to pay off all the debt that keeps me chained to my day job and have the life my family and I have always wanted. Thanks again!!

Hi Roy,

I just wanted to say thanks for sending me your free newsletter. I have been receiving it for about 2 months and it has really improved my game. I live in Vegas, so I play in Brick and Mortar card rooms a lot. Your newsletter edition on "Poker Tells" has really helped me.The first night after reading your "Poker Tells", I went down to the strip with $200 and sat down at a $2-$4 Holdem table. It wasn't long before your advice helped me save a bunch of chips. I had pocket AA. A really hard hand to get away from. There was a bunch of raising pre flop and I was able to cap it and get it down to just two players. The flop was all rags with two hearts. I bet out and my opponent called quickly, which usually tells me he is on a draw. Anyway, the turn was another heart. I wasn't watching the cards, I was watching my opponent. I was looking at the pulse in his next as you suggested. When that heart came on the turn, his pulse exploded right out of his neck. I checked to him and he bet. I really felt I was beat at this point and as hard as it was, I folded. I asked him if I could see what he had and he flipped over the KQ of hearts. I am sure if I hadn't noticed his pulse, I would have raised that hand until the river with all the bad cards on the board. I probably saved a good $32 on that hand alone. I thought to myself "This guy better invest in a turtleneck or hope no one else reads Roy Rounders newsletters. I then showed him the AA that I folded, which put him on TILT and he ended up handing over about $200 of his chips to me over the next 2 hours. I ended up going home with $650.

Keep up the great work.Your newsletter is the first thing I read when I open my e-mail in the morning.

Sup Roy, I have been getting your newsletters for several months now and I must say that these have been more help to improving my game than any paperback book that I have read. And, I have read a lot! Not only am I playing with more confidence but I am winning a lot more as a result. I can't wait to read more. I have been consistently placing in the money in our home tourneys and my online play has skyrocketed! I must admit though, I had already figured out tight-aggressive-squared strategy for Sit-And-Go's a while ago but I attribute this to the knowledge that I have gained by reading your material. Your writings have helped me to rethink the way I was playing and has opened up by mind to new ways of approaching the game. Thank you so much. Your friend as well.

My name is Ron, I purchased you book about two weeks ago but I have been receiving you newsletter for a few months now. I have been playing poker for 6 months now and I have read A LOT of books and web pages about poker, even watched a few DVDs.

What your book and newsletter do better than all of them is relate the tips to real poker situations. Any book can define tight aggressive, but your book and newsletters show situations and examples of how to do it. As I mentioned I have been playing about 6 months. I play in about 6-10 tournaments a month depending on the month, most are with the same group of about 25 people. I would usually place in the middle somewhere or a couple times I placed as high as third. I wasn't the chump at the table but I wasn't winning the tournaments or the big money either. I played in three tournaments last week, one week after reading your book and really analyzing your newsletters. I was determined to win. I placed second in the first tournament, not because I was outplayed, but because I was outdrawn. I had AQ and he had A8 and he sucked out an 8 crippling me to about ¼ of his stack and I couldn't recover before the blinds took care of the rest of my stack.

The next tournament I played I took 5th out of 25. I was one place out of the money which was a bummer but I was happy with my play. I really just couldn't catch cards the entire time. I went all in with AQ again with about 8x the big blind and I got busted by pocket 4s. The next tournament I completely owned the table. I took control when I was on a draw, I bluffed players out when they showed weakness and I pushed people all around the table. I was able to read my opponents like a book after I had read your betting patterns newsletter. I multiplied my bankroll by 5x in one weekend!

I believe your system can help you not only survive but win when you are not catching cards and truly dominate when you are catching them. Thank you and keep the tips coming!
